HULL CLEANING

A properly maintained hull ensures that your yacht sails and looks better. In other words, you can enjoy it even more.

Van Ast cleans your hull professionally. At our spraying facility with vapour-tight floor, we carefully spray the hull with warm water above and below the waterline and then clean it with soap.

The waste water is drained and purified professionally, so that the environmental impact is kept to a minimum.

Your yacht is then ready for sailing again.

COSMETIC MAINTENANCE

It goes without saying that your yacht deserves the very best maintenance. But appearance is also important. Van Ast’s cosmetic maintenance means that your yacht always looks splendid. That’s what enjoyment is all about.

During the cosmetic maintenance, we wax and polish all the visible parts of your yacht: hull, superstructure, stainless steel parts, mast and jib.

We guarantee that you will be beaming with pride when you see your dazzling yacht.

INTERNAL TRANSPORT

We transport our clients’ yachts from the quay to our own site for winter or summer lay-up, cosmetic maintenance or antifouling treatment. We call this internal transport.

WWe place your boat with the greatest care in a cradle and bring it ashore. We then place it on a transport trailer and bring it to our spraying location. Your yacht is ready to be treated or ready for the winter.

ANTIFOULING

Every vessel suffers from fouling, which is a natural process. But fouling can harm the hull in the long term. Moreover, it influences the sailing characteristics of your boat. There are therefore reasons enough to give your yacht an antifouling treatment.

To prepare for the treatment, we first bring your yacht ashore. During the treatment, we apply an antifouling layer and check the coating below the waterline.

You’re a ready for another problem-free season.

SUMMER SERVICE

Give your yacht a pit stop, a rapid and efficient makeover during the summer. You disembark on Sunday evening and on Friday afternoon your boat is ready and waiting again.

During our summer service, we spray your yacht, polish it and apply an antifouling layer.

You are back on the water and can enjoy your freedom before you know it.

LOWERING AND RAISING THE MAST

Do you have a sailing yacht? If so, we will help your to lower and raise the mast.

We lower your mast using our own mast crane. The mast rests on supports on your yacht; safe and with no risk of damage.

We also use our crane when raising the mast. Moreover, we do everything necessary to fix your mast safely in the upright position.

The only thing you need to do is hoist the sail and enjoy your voyage.

WHITE DIESEL

You can obtain white diesel from Van Ast.

HOWEVER, OUR PUMP IS AVAILABLE ONLY FOR A LIMITED PERIOD.

LOADING AND UNLOADING

Visitors from abroad are welcome at Van Ast, e.g. bringing the yacht of a foreign owner to the Grevelingen lake.

Staff of international transporters can work undisturbed and effectively at Van Ast. We have everything they need for carrying out work on the yacht and making it ready for sailing.

MAINTENANCE

You are very welcome to come and carry out maintenance at our facilities. You require our prior permission, however, so that it’s clear who is responsible for the condition of the yacht..
